The origins: the Barrabés Inn and the beginning of our story
Long before building the hotel, the family ran a small inn, the "Fonda Barrabés", a modest but essential space in its time, which offered shelter to mountaineers and travelers when Benasque had not yet experienced its tourist expansion.
That place marked the beginning of a way of understanding hospitality that, over time, would give way to a more ambitious project.
The architecture that defines Hotel Ciria
The story of Hotel Ciria began over 30 years ago, with the desire to create accommodation that preserved the essence of the Aragonese Pyrenees. From the outset, the project was conceived respecting the valley's traditions, its architecture, and its authentic character.
The building was constructed using fine materials such as stone, wood, and granite, reflecting the identity of the area.
El Fogaril: the soul of the hotel and its gastronomy
Among its most emblematic spaces is the hearth, a magnificent granite dome with a central fireplace and wooden seating area. Inspired by traditional Pyrenean houses, this corner has become the heart of the hotel.
In addition, “El Fogaril” gives its name to the hotel's restaurant, a gastronomic space where game dishes and traditional stews stand out, along with special recipes such as roe deer loin with morels, one of the most recognized and appreciated proposals of the house.
